This summer on a five week adventure around Western Europe, I had the opportunity to visit a vintage lovers dream. On a bright and warm Sunday morning we took the metro to a Parisian Flea Market. We visited Marche Vernaison off of the Port de Clignancourt metro stop. By stepping off the busy street we entered a world of shabby chic beauty. There was stalls of all kinds ranging from the rare and random. The morning slipped by exploring the shady alleyways and crowded booths.
Tips for visiting Marche Vernaison:
- Plan ahead! The market is only open Saturday to Sunday 9 A.M. - 6 P.M. and Mondays from 10 A.M. - 6 P.M. We had to prioritize our trip because other Paris attractions are also only open on certain days as well.
- Wear comfortable shoes. The market is a labyrinth of stalls and streets.
- Ignore the booths you will see on the way to Marche Vernaison they are loaded with random items such as cheap cell phone covers and knock off clothing. Keep walking to find the good stuff.
